Educational Support

Program Overview

The educational support team at the Sutcliffe Clinic provides:

  1. educational therapy for your child
  2. support for families
  3. school consultation

Telehealth Services

The Sutcliffe Clinic offers Telehealth appointments to its clients through Google Meet.

The goal of the educational team is to help students recognize their learning strengths and empower them with skills to face any learning challenge. With a focus on personal strengths, your child will feel what it is like to be a successful learner and develop a toolbox of strategies to support their learning.

The team also works closely with school personnel in public, private and therapeutic settings to create collaborative relationships and foster each child’s growth.

We use a collaborative model that positively engages the student, their family, and their school team.

The Educational Team Supports Children With The Following Conditions

OUR Education Support CAN HELP CHILDREN WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

  • Learning Differences & Disabilities

The structured and repetitive lessons in education therapy builds vital communication, social, and life skills often challenging for autistic children due to sensory and developmental differences.
  • Autism

Our program's specialized curriculum and training in processing deficits gives children with conditions like dyslexia or dyscalculia the tools to better read, comprehend, and solve math.
  • Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder

By providing one-on-one instruction tailored to an ADHD child's attention span and learning style, education therapy helps improve academic skills and self-confidence.
