Suszanne Bernat

Over two decades of practicing general pediatrics, I have developed a deep interest in behavioral health and mental and emotional wellness for kids and their families. I have studied multiple therapy treatment modalities to add additional lenses to my assessments and tools to my clinical toolkit. This combination of medical knowledge and experience, with an understanding of evidence-based therapy treatment protocols, uniquely positions me to meet children and families where they are and help them toward the change they want to make as effectively as possible.

My practice is based on a strong foundation of collaboration with all team members, from the child themselves and their caregivers, to all staff members at The Sutcliffe Clinic, plus any other professionals or community members involved. My personal inspiration comes from the belief that each child is the most important one; I intentionally practice the care I would want my own children to receive. My investigations are rooted in genuine curiosity, an interest in finding the motivation of the people who come to me for guidance, a focus on people over diagnoses, and a real joy in partnering with kids and families as they continuously work towards living the life they perceive as worth living.
