James Moua

James is a Registered Behavior Technician with a BA in Psychology from California State University, Fresno. During his undergraduate courses, he began working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. James found great fulfillment in the role he played working with kids diagnosed with ASD. It was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one, as he had not expected to enjoy working with children as much as he did given his lack of experience at the time. Learning the quirks and personalities of each of his clients was an endearing bonus to the job, creating many fun and memorable experiences that he draws inspiration from in his ongoing practice.

James has experience working primarily with preschool age children (3-5), but has
also worked with children up to the age of 11. He has worked in home, school, and clinical settings. While he prefers to incorporate drawing, music, and nerd culture into his sessions, James prioritizes the kids’ interests. If kids do share similar interests to James, he loves to display his mutual interest with great enthusiasm.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with family & friends, playing video games, eating food, traveling, and talking about nerdy fictional universes from games, movies, shows, and books. Some examples include Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. He particularly enjoys listening to lore videos and video essays on these topics.
