Maria Estefania Millan, an Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT), is a seasoned clinician with over 20 years of experience specializing in working with children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders. Her extensive career spans across Argentina and the United States, and she provides services both in English and Spanish.

Estefania is dedicated to implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals. Over the past decade, she has focused on Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) parent training, recognizing the critical importance of family involvement in the development and well-being of children with ASD.

Estefania earned her degree as a Licensed Psychologist from Universidad Católica Argentina in 2005 and recently completed her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Counseling (MFT) at Palo Alto University, California. She has been working as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Autism and Developmental Disorders Research Team at Stanford University School of Medicine for the past 11 years. Here, she has provided PRT parent training for parents in individual and group formats and she has collaborated in developing and running several innovative programs including inclusive social skills groups, a resilience training for parents, and an online PRT parent training course. Her work encompasses a range of therapeutic approaches, integrating naturalistic behavioral principles and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies.

Estefania’s expertise is further substantiated by her training in PRT, DIR-Floortime®, Social Thinking®, and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. She has also contributed to the field through multiple publications in prominent journals, focusing on the efficacy of treatments for children with ASD and parental resilience interventions.
