Elizabeth Grishaw

Elizabeth is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) specializing in early intervention, behavior management, social skills, and parent coaching. She has worked in the field of ABA since 2014, driven by a genuine passion for helping children and families thrive. In 2017, she earned her Master’s degree in Special Education, with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis, from Penn State, and became a BCBA.

Elizabeth brings deep expertise in behavior plans, staff training and supervision, data-driven treatment planning, and ethical practice. She believes strongly in neuroaffirming care — supporting each child’s unique way of experiencing the world — and in using a child’s own intrinsic motivation to guide meaningful skill acquisition and behavior change. This approach shapes how she collaborates with families, educators, and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve outcomes that matter.

In practice, Elizabeth draws on a range of evidence-based methods, including Functional Communication Training, Pivotal Response Training, Natural Environment Teaching, and Behavioral Skills Training, tailoring her approach to fit each individual she works with.

Outside The Sutcliffe Clinic, Elizabeth’s creativity and patience carry over into her personal life — whether she’s cooking new recipes, playing the violin, or exploring a new corner of the Bay Area. She loves to travel and is always on the lookout for new perspectives to bring back to her work.
