Cynthia Oceguera

Cynthia is a licensed Learning Specialist, Reading Specialist, and Education Therapy candidate. She grew up in the Bay Area and attended St. Francis High School before attending the University of Portland in Portland, OR where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in special education. She went on to join the Pacific Alliance of Catholic Education (PACE) program at the University of Portland where she earned a master’s degree in education with a specialization in reading instruction. She is currently attending the UCSC Silicon Valley Extension and is enrolled in the Educational Therapy certification program.

Cynthia worked as a learning specialist at a private catholic school in Portland, OR for a number of years and most recently worked as a private learning specialist in Menlo Park, CA. She has experience working with students from pre-kindergarten through high school in the areas of reading, writing, math, and executive functioning.

Cynthia is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Santa Clara County and enjoys volunteering her time to children in the foster care and dependency system. She is a passionate sports fan and enjoys going to San Francisco Giants games and watching football on the weekend. She resides in Mountain View, CA and enjoys spending time with her large extended family, reading, and cross-stitch.
