Alexandra Rousseau

Alexandra is a psychological associate and doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology
at Palo Alto University, with advanced training in pediatric neuropsychology and
integrated behavioral health. She brings a strong clinical foundation from her prior
medical training and mother–child–focused practice in Europe, which informs her
thoughtful and developmentally grounded approach to care.

Alexandra provides comprehensive neurodevelopmental and psychological
assessments for children and adolescents. She focuses on understanding each
youth’s unique profile of strengths and challenges across areas such as emotion
regulation, behavior, learning, and executive functioning. Her approach to
assessment is integrative and collaborative: she considers the whole child within
their developmental and family context, and works closely with parents, medical
providers, as well as schools when appropriate, to ensure that evaluations lead to
clear, meaningful, and practical recommendations. She takes a strengths-based,
neurodivergent-affirming approach, recognizing and building on each child’s abilities
while supporting families in fostering growth, resilience, and self-understanding.

Her clinical work is guided by a culturally responsive and family-centered
perspective. Having lived across multiple countries, Alexandra values working with
multilingual and multicultural communities and strives to create a space where
families feel understood and supported. She is fluent in French, Spanish, and
German, which further supports her ability to connect with diverse families.

Alexandra works under the supervision of licensed clinicians and, while she holds a
medical degree, is not currently licensed to practice medicine in the United States.
